It wasn’t easy for us to require financial support from attendees for what had been previously a free event. But, quality comes with a price.
Since the inception of the organic field day, CFS has footed the bill to provide this event. Its grown rapidly, almost faster than we can keep up with just managing, as well as the cost! We have to remind ourselves this event started simply to show a singular brand and how effective precision weed control is to 75 -80 people.
Fast forward as we are demonstrating many brands of different weed control equipment to hundreds of serious farmers traveling in from all over the United States and Canada.
If we are to keep this event sustainable, we need to charge. Kids 16 and under are free as we want our youth in agriculture.
